IGPN in cooperation with its member organization in Georgia – TASO Foundation – started to implement new project “Support strengthening the role of young women in building peace and stability in the South Caucasus”.
The project focuses on the empowerment and involvement of young women in the process of building peace and stability in the Region with the goal to advance more open and participatory process as well as effective and stable security and peace-building activities in the post-conflict environment of these countries.
The project aims to support a viable Regional Network – South Caucasus Young Women Expert`s Group on Peace and Security and to support public awareness and advocacy activities on the role and importance of international instruments such as UNSCR 1325 and its follow up resolutions on Women, Peace and Security in peace-building and post-conflict reconstruction processes with special emphasis on its implementation.
